A5: AUDIENCE MEASUREMENT

In this session, which is about audience measurement, we are going to be moving into some more technical aspects of the digital environment.

The topics include: first-, second- and third-party data, tools for tracking and the terms that are commonly used for audience measurement. We are also going to tackle some of the misconceptions about editorial dashboarding in the newsroom.

We will also be looking at how and why we measure social, newsletters and advertising.

Your group and reflection work at the end of lessons will be to uncover how much your business knows about its own audience and what analytics and data tools you are – and should be – using.
